My Vastly Optimistic Writing Schedule for Late 2016 (and 2017)

Hey guys. Sorry for the lack of updates, but I’ve been working on a couple of new projects and, well, there were some birthing pains. But hopefully I’ve overcome those now, and I’m feeling optimistic enough this Friday to let everyone know what to expect before the end of 2016 (and heading into 2017).

The next book you’ll see before the year’s over is one that I’m very excited about. It’s called MOST WANTED and will be the first in a new trilogy, and is about– No, no, I can’t tell you. It’s super secret.

But I can show you the cover:

Expect it either this November or December. I’m currently shooting for November. Hopefully November. Definitely November. Maybe.

For all you PURGE OF BABYLON fans (which is probably most of you reading this), there will be a new novella starring everyone’s favorite bad guy Mason, called MASON’S WAR. It won’t be mandatory reading, and is intended as a nice companion to the events of THE BONES OF VALHALLA. I mentioned before in a previous Facebook post that I had written a few Mason chapters but decided to snip them because they didn’t really fit in with the narrative structure of VALHALLA. Those chapters will make up half of this new novella while the rest will be all new material.

Wanna know how the collaborators viewed the events of THE BONES OF VALHALLA? Here’s your answer.

Mason's War by SAM SISAVATH

And finally, for the three or four ALLIE KRYCEK fans out there, I had originally committed to a fourth book this year but it looks like I might have to go back on that promise. The idea is already there, I just have to find the time to write it, and as we all know, time is a slippery little bugger these days.

For now, it looks like MOST WANTED will take up the bulk of my time, at least until I’m done with it sometime in 2017. Probably late 2017. I’m a fast writer, but I’m not that fast. I also hope to begin a new PURGE OF BABYLON series sometime in 2017 (mid-2017?), which will be set after the events of VALHALLA. At the moment I’m toying with the idea of an ongoing series that focuses on a new character in each book… What do you guys think about that idea?

Until then, thanks as always for reading, and don’t forget to visit my official Author Facebook page (if you’re into such things).

Yes, yes, yes to the continuation of the Purge series — although I think I’d read anything you write. HATED seeing the end to the series, and I’m excited to hear that you’re considering moving on with other characters in that series.

Do a backstory. Where did the ghouls come from. How did the purge evolve. We need answers!

I love your books and would be delighted to see what happens after Valhalla

As an addict of the PURGE I am so glad the series will continue.I Don’t know how the individual character thing will be but if that is how I have to get my PURGE fix then that’s okay.I also liked the Allie Krycek series too.Keep on writing and I will also order the new one you are writing.I always know I WON’T be disappointed when I read a SAM SISAVATH book.Congrats on new addiction to family and I sit patiently waiting.

Hi! I just found the Purge of Babylon on 9/3 and finished the Bones of Valhalla last night 9/13. This series has been my life for the last 10 days and I’m sad to see it end but it was a wonderful ride! At least I can get some sleep now. 😉

I’m about to start book 3 of the Allie Krycek series so I’m bummed book 4 is delayed but Most Wanted sounds interesting too. Keep up the GREAT work!

I definitely agree with the backstory on the ghouls! I would love to know how that all started.
I’m starting book 9 today, and can already say I’m sorry that the series is over.
    I thoroughly enjoyed each book.
    Well Done!

I laughed, I cried, I groaned and loved every moment. Thanks for a fabulous ride. Looking forward to what you have in store for us next.

A book from Mabry’s point of view would be interesting. Not sure about each book focusing on a new character though. While the whole series is great, getting invested in the characters is what keeps me coming back. You didn’t have to explain too much about Mason, because we already knew. Also, we need more Keo!

sam- you broke my heart in the last purge book. the series won’t be the same without the will and danny dynamics. i seriously need a “bring will back” support group. at the very least, give me some keo.

Absolutely to continuing the Purge series. I am on #6 and dreading finishing what is available in the series so far. And please, don’t stop writing about Allie, even if it takes a while.

Absolute Allie fan. Cannot wait for the fourth book. Thank you for writing such a fast paced fab series.

Please don’t make me choose between Allie or Purge that’s just to cruel for words…..

Regarding your continuing the PURGE series..
I would also like to see what direction Mason takes now. He and Gabby need to have some closure.
    And…speaking of villians…what about Wyatt ?
You know, you never confirmed his death Sam and I had hopes that Wyatt would end up leading the Collaborator Rebellion.😁
    Anyway…thanks for everything Sam

Hey Jim. Can’t give everything away, but there will definitely be a few familiar faces showing up in the new Purge book. 😉
